Toronto, Ontario (January 2, 2024) – Eastern Construction is pleased to announce Dean Walker assumed the role of President effective January 1, 2024.
Dean Walker, with Eastern Construction since 2005, takes on the role of President as incumbent Bryan Arnold continues in the role of Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, marking the realization of a well-executed leadership succession plan at Eastern Construction. Mr. Walker is the sixth person to hold the office of President since 1951 when the company first initiated operations.
Dean joined Eastern Construction in 2005 starting off as a Project Coordinator and over the course of his career, transitioned to Superintendent, Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, and Project Director. Dean joined the Senior Management Team in 2018 and was named Executive Vice President in 2021 where his participated in business development, bidding and proposals, human resources, operations, procurement, and finance.
During his tenure with Eastern Construction, Dean embodied Eastern’s core values of professionalism, integrity, and fairness. Dean has managed some of Eastern’s most interesting and challenging assignments; in all cases, Dean’s primary concern was the safety of Eastern’s people, subtrade partners, and the general public. Both on-site and at head-office, Dean employs a collaborative management style where his colleagues become highly engaged participants in the process. Dean is a natural team-builder and quickly fosters confidence among peers. Acting as a resource, Dean takes the time to educate and support his colleagues and applies the same level of professionalism dealing with designers and trade contractors. Superior communication, teamwork, and leadership have positioned Dean to take on role of President at Eastern Construction.
Bryan Arnold will continue in the role of Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, supported by a strong, experienced Senior Management Team.

After months of construction, and over 2,700 pieces of mass timber later, T3 Bayside has topped off! To celebrate, the Eastern team signed the last beam hoisted on site. Once completed, this office building will be the tallest commercial mass timber in North America.
